Saturday, February 23, The La Porte County Family YMCA will be hosting the local competition of THE NORTHWEST INDIANA YMCA FREE THROW CONTEST. All boys and girls are encouraged to participate. Registration is FREE, and will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the competition will start at noon.
Age Divisions (separate for boys and girls)
Age 9 and under (10 ft. basket, 12 ft. foul line, 28.5 ball)
Age 11 and under (10 ft. basket, 12 ft. foul line, 28.5 ball)
Age 13 and under (10 ft. basket, 15 ft. foul line, official size ball)
Age eligibility determined by age as of March 1, 2013.
The top boy and girl in each division will go on to represent our local YMCA at the Northwest Indiana Championship, held on Sunday, March 17, at Purdue University Calumet in Hammond.
