Our Y Youth Sports programs emphasize sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork; emphasize the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility; keep winning in perspective; enable all participants to play in every game; include family involvement; include coaches and officials training; emphasize safety and age-appropriate progressive skill development; emphasize using volunteers as coaches and officials; and are open to all segments of the community.
Youth (K-5) Boys Basketball
Basketball fundamentals, character development and fun with the organization that invented the game-the Y! In the hands of caring volunteer coaches, players begin their season with a skills clinic, followed by scheduled games and practices. REGISTRATION BEGINS MONDAY, Nov. 4!

Little Dribblers Basketball
For those little ones who love all things sports, this program is packed full of fun and learning opportunities. Players enjoy developing team building and basic soccer skills during games and scheduled practices at our beautiful Andrew Avenue Outdoor Education & Recreation Facility. We believe in the power of play! Registration begins December 9th!

Youth Coed Indoor Soccer
For those K-5TH graders who love soccer, this winter league is indoors and a ton of fun! Players will enhance their soccer and teamwork skills during games and scheduled practices. Volunteer coaches and Y staff will encourage your child to build confidence that will keep them learning, growing and achieving all winter long. We look forward to seeing you this season! Registration begins November 4th!

Home School PE
The Home School Physical Education is a planned instructional program that provides K-12 students standards-based physical education lessons that focus on health-related physical fitness, skill development, safety, and positive social interactions. The program helps homeschooling families make physical education an essential part of the total curriculum, ensuring that enjoyments in physical activity continues as a natural part of students' everyday lives.
Participants will engage in age appropriate activities that include fitness, fundamental and sport-specific skills, including swimming. A one hour class will consist of a warm-up, stretch, sport/game, cool-down and stretch. Classes will be held in the gym, outside on Andrew Avenue Outdoor Recreation Facility fields (weather permitting) and in the Jones Family pool. Home School PE is designed to help improve your child's strength, increase endurance and energy, build self-esteem, improve coordination and create healthy habits.

Youth Coed Basketball/Girls Basketball
We are now offering our fall basketball league as coed for the K/1 and 2/3 grade divisions, while still offering a girls-only division for grades 4/5 and a boys-only division for grade 4. Our basketball program emphasizes sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork, while teaching the fundamentals, rules and traditions of the game. The season begins with a skills clinic on Saturday, Oct. 26th. Games start Saturday, Nov. 9, and run through, Saturday, Dec. 14 (no games on Saturday, Nov. 23). REGISTRATION BEGINS MONDAY, SEPT. 9.

Tae Kwon Do
This program is run by Black Belts Jerry and Mary Crosslin, who have conducted the Y's martial art program since 1993. Their outstanding program is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. for beginners and 6:00 p.m. for advanced. Jerry and Mary have instructed the Korean Art for over two decades. Jerry owns a 5th Degree Black Belt and Mary has reached the rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt. The program honors existing ranks and no contracts are required. Registration begins December 9th!

This is a great combination of Skipper swimming lessons followed by a Tumbling class. Each component is a half-hour long. The program, begins in the pool (9:00 - 9:30 a.m.) for games, songs, beginning instructional swim and safety. Then the activities move up to the gym (9:45-10:15 a.m.) for somersaults, animal walks, tunnels, trampolines and scooter boards. F-U-N! Registration begins December 9th!
